  • Design and implement system architecture with Azure cloud – Develop automation scripts, ARM templates, Ansible, Chef, Terraform. Python, Powershell
  • Experience in System Infrastructure and should be comfortable providing solutions based on Azure cloud
  • Should have experience of implementing cloud infrastructure security & Agile Methodology

What should you possess?

  • Education qualification: Prefer B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/M.Sc Computers or any Graduate
  • Substantial prior experience and ability to serve as a subject matter expert in the Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, Data Factory / Data Bricks, AAS, Stream Analytics, SSIS, Power BI and Data Science areas. Ability to apply critical thinking to develop and solve business challenges.
  • Implement AAS to provide centralize business rules, KPI’s, Hierarchies, and data access.
  • Define Projects. Ensures that the design is adequately documented.
  • Establishes design/coding guidelines and best practices. Drives usage of design patterns.
  • Mentors developers for difficult tasks. Enforces compliance with coding guidelines using code reviews etc.

Azure SQL Developer & DBA

Develop and support Azure and on-premises SQL Server database infrastructure for new data initiatives with database design, development, automation and administration. This person will report to Principal Database Administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities

Azure SQL Development and Administration -70%

Design and Develop OLAP & BI solutions – using Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Warehouse, Cubes and Models to improve existing and create new ways to use and manipulate data. Work with other developers and recommend best practices, performance tuning of T-SQL queries, write MDX multi-dimensional models, DAX for PowerPivot and Tabular models especially for use in Power BI reports. Develop complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions, etc.

Design and develop processes that transform JSON data into tables and views that facilitate reporting in Power BI and other data analysis tools, including developing Star and/or Snowflake schemas as necessary. Develop tools for loading data from external third-party API’s and/or other internal/external databases.

Azure Database security & administration – Setup/Manage databases, SQL external logins, generate SQL audit reports, set alerts, security, firewalls rules, backup/restore, monitor and troubleshooting, manage cost, elastic pools, create ETL jobs using SSIS, Azure Data Factory V2, etc. Assist in defining the necessary schemas and AD groups to simplify the management of DB security.

On-premises Application and O365 support – 30%

Support and troubleshoot on-premises legacy and Azure web applications based on IIS, SharePoint, SQL, Power BI, PowerApps, etc.

Assist in the management of Office 365 licenses and feature management, support and troubleshoot O365 applications and deployment for Power BI, PowerApps, etc. Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, SQL Server, etc.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher. 5+ years of experience designing, building and implementing BI solutions with Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS with MDX and DAX skill with multidimensional and tabular cube is a must. Experience with dimensional modeling and creating Star/Snowflake schemas. Strong SQL DBA and troubleshooting skills. Strong SQL Server knowledge across multiple versions including Azure SQL. Understanding of database tuning and troubleshooting.

Programming Languages and DB skills required
