Data Engineer

Responsibilities

We need experienced engineer with strong mindset of building scalable and high-quality software product who understands the challenge of design and implementation of large-scale distributed system

• Work together in an Agile team, to maintain SAS system and support cloud journey strategies

• Support SAS business users in their daily work with advice, automating and optimizing programs

• Developing and promoting best practices for SAS

• Collaborate closely with other SAS developers and designer to provide data in best manner for best-practise SAS solutions

• Provide solution designs, develop, test, automize, optimize and document solutions within SAS

• Collaborate with other product teams in the organization to secure good coordination and synchronization of cross deliveries

Kompetenskrav

Required skills/qualifications:

• Several years’ experience from working with SAS BI solutions, from database and ETL to BI front end (Tableau/PowerBI)

• Good technical knowledge of the SAS platform and good understanding of the SAS data warehouse architecture

• Ability to analyse source data and connect the outcome to the user requirements

• Experience from working with prototyping and agile frameworks

• Experience working in complex environments with large data volumes

• Ability to analyse and tune performance of solutions to streamline them

• Experience and knowledge of ITIL processes

• Hands on experience in DevOps and automate software development process

• Extra plus:

o Knowledge of SAS Viya

o Knowledge of Azure technologies (Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage etc)

o if you have experience from retail and delivering data to Tableau/PowerBI as visualization tool
